AJ Power has delivered over 250+ gensets to a large multinational corporation in the region, providing over 140MW continuous power 24/7.

These generating sets are used to provide stable, reliable power on both drilling sites, as well as 3 phase separation (oil/water/natural gas) facilities in regions that do not have utility supplies accessible to them.

In order to meet the expectations of the customers, AJ Power supplied two sizes of generating sets : 179 x AJ550 and 41 x AJ1100. Both sizes of generating sets had to be powered by Perkins engine and fitted with fully tropicalised MeccAlte UK alternators.

Ambient Temperature

Due to the nature of the remote location of the generating sets once in the field, they had to be installed with cooling packages suitable for 55 degree ambient temperatures and self-supporting lube oil top up systems in order to reduce the on site servicing requirements.

Sound Attenuated

AJ Power designed and certified 41 x 12 metre (40ft) sound attenuated containers with internally mounted silencers packages to house the AJ1100 product.

These attenuated containers were fully kitted out and supplied with small electrical packages including DC powered LED lighting solutions that did not require auxiliary supply to support them.

Through thorough testing of the containers we managed to achieve noise levels of 85dBA@1m/78dBA@7m which exceeded the customers’ expectations.
